Trying To Keep Gym Buddies Health Conscious Aswell As Fit

Health and the continued enjoyment of it is time consuming and only matters to some of the populaton.  I am always amazed at how many of my fellow members of clubs and societies talk about these matters, and pretend they take the healthy choices, but it is patently obvious they do no such thing.  I share a gym glass with between nine and eleven folk, and all arrive in little groups.  There’s always a couple of really fit ones who literally bounce with vitality and can’t wait to get under way and never get tired or lose interest.    Then there are those at the other end of the rainbow who plod heavily up the stairs, grab a seat outside the studio and sit slumped whilst putting the world to rights with other like minded souls.   It must be disheartening to the young instructors who do their best to engage with our sensible sides.  They don’t just go through the exercise drills, these days they explain what this movement does and how it affects that limb or that muscle group.  We also get good advice on nutition and how to avoid the stodge without feeling hard done by.  I already follow a low carbohydrate regime as much as I can, without straining too much.  Some days see me make a much greater effort, and these are to offset the days when I can’t easily, but I always try to balance the week and social activity.
